What Operations Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
Facilities Maintenance ensures the reliable operation of the organization's facilities. This job family refurbishes and performs preventative maintenance and repairs to company facilities. This job family may also manage contractors that provide facility maintenance services.
Responsibilities
Provide support for scheduled and emergency maintenance needsBasic maintenance duties, racking and conveyor projects and monthly testing of security and temperature monitoring devices. Provides front line security services for facilities and support for various contractors and building projects. May requires overtime, varying shift schedule and occasional after hours emergency response.Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent experience preferredRelated experience preferredCertified MHE operator, or be willing to train for certification requiredGood math skills preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level
Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information/methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all safety and quality guidelinesWorks under a moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisorAnticipated hourly range: $17.60 per hour - $22.76 per hour based on experience
