**Maintenance Technician** Manufacturing & Utilities Countryside, IL, US Pay Rate Low: 28 | Pay Rate High: 35 + Added - 28/05/2025 Apply for Job Our client is a well-established personal care product manufacturer they are seeking a skilled **Maintenance Technician** to bolster their 2nd shift team! This role plays a critical part in keeping thehigh-speed production lines running efficiently and safely. Located in Countryside, IL *6 month contract to hire* **Shift:** 2nd shift Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM (4x10) **Pay:** $28–$35/hour + $0.50/hour 2nd shift differential **Key Responsibilities:** + Maintain and repair production line equipment, including fillers, cappers, conveyors, bundlers, coders, labelers, and box makers + Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues on assigned equipment + Support line changeovers and setups as needed + Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety procedures + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime + Be available for limited overtime on Fridays based on production needs (optional if assigned lines are not running) **Qualifications:** + High school diploma and minimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment + Familiarity with high-speed packaging equipment preferred; willing to train on areas of lesser experience + Basic electrical troubleshooting skills a plus + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills + Reliable attendance and ability to work independently with a safety-first mindset + Must be comfortable with a consistent 2nd shift schedule (no rotation) **What We Offer:** + $0.50/hour shift differential + Stable 4-day work week (no weekends) + Optional OT available on Fridays depending on line schedules + Clean and climate-controlled work environment **"This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
