Miller Brothers Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Technician for a client in Saegertown, PA. This is a Direct Placement opportunity with a well-established manufacturer seeking a skilled technician to join their 3rd shift team.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for providing technical support for electrical and engineering-related challenges in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting, while supporting ongoing process improvement initiatives and collaborating with engineering staff to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support for electrical and engineering systems throughout all phases of operation and maintenance.
Assemble and repair electrical and electronic systems and prototypes using appropriate tools and instruments.
Work closely with engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Analyze test data to diagnose and correct design issues.
Draft or revise electrical diagrams and write specifications for electrical systems.
Install, maintain, and upgrade industrial control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Assist with the design, evaluation, and maintenance of plant electrical systems.
Accurately complete maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2+ years of experience in a maintenance or electrical technician role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Skills:
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
Familiarity with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and control systems
Experience with PLC systems and industrial machinery maintenance
Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina
Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Team-oriented with solid communication and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in noisy environments
