As a Multicraft Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of various machinery and equipment within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. This role demands versatility, as you will be expected to handle tasks across multiple disciplines, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment installation. 

Requirements

1. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse array of machinery, including but not limited to, conveyor systems, production lines, packaging equipment, and hydraulic systems.

2. Troubleshooting: Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with machinery and equipment promptly. Identify root causes of malfunctions and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

3. Electrical Work: Perform electrical repairs and installations, including wiring, circuitry, and control panels. Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve faults, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

4. Mechanical Repairs: Conduct mechanical repairs and adjustments on motors, bearings, gears, and other mechanical components. Perform precision alignment and calibration to optimize equipment performance.

5. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses. Troubleshoot system malfunctions and ensure proper functioning to support production operations.

6. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential equipment failures. Perform scheduled inspections, lubrication, and replacements to extend equipment lifespan and minimize breakdowns.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts. Generate reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvement.

8. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Identify and address potential safety hazards, and participate in safety training and initiatives.

9. Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize equipment uptime. Provide technical support and guidance to operators as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.

• Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred.

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.

• Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

• Familiarity with maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.

• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Availability for on-call duty and occasional overtime as needed.
