ALL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL WILL WORK TOGETHER TO ENSURE A SAFE OPERATION; QUALITY OF SERVICES RENDERED, AND THAT THE OPERATION OF THE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT MEETS OR EXCEEDS STANDARDS.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance Mechanic responsibilities focus on basic skills as well as the knowledge and concepts needed to maintain plant electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic equipment. General responsibilities include but are not limited to performing preventative and corrective maintenance functions required for plant electrical equipment. All individuals assigned to the department are to work together in a safe, efficient and effective manner to insure the production of a quality product. To achieve this level of operations all employees are required to comply with all applicable Plant and OSHA safety rules as well as the National Electric Code.
NORMAL DUTIES: (include the following)
To perform maintenance as needed on various machines, equipment, or systems to enhance the manufacturing operation. Maintain information for, or input into, the computer system in a timely manner. Make adjustment needed to ensure product being produced meets all quality standards. Report any inability to effect repairs or perform the job to which they been assigned to the Maintenance Manager.These duties will include but are not limited to removing, installing, replacing, starting up, operating for test purposes, testing, adjusting, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and aligning, calibrating, major assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. Responsibilities may also include performing work on the buildings as directed.

Minimum of two years of demonstrated work experience preferably in manufacturing setting. Demonstrate Mechanical Aptitude. Demonstrate Industrial Electrical technology. Understand and demonstrate basic fabrication and welding. Understand & demonstrate basic Industrial Electricity+ Be proficient in reading electrical schematics. Skilled in diagnosing and fixing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.LICENSE: Employee must have successfully completed the appropriate training programs for the operation of powered industrial trucks.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates will demonstrate their level of experience.
Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the operation of all plant equipment. Must be able to complete all jobs assigned in a safe and efficient manner with minimal supervision. Must be able to confer with outside technical support and utilize that support in problem solving.LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret written documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, factory orders, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Able to use computers in troubleshooting, completing work orders and other related job duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the normal job functions. While performing the duties of this job, an individual regularly works near moving mechanical parts, electrical components and steam. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and temperature variations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
