Maintenance Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our Maintenance team at the Adient Liverpool Plant as a Maintenance Technician. 

What can you expect?

The Maintenance team is managed by the Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator and sits under the wider Operations team. Operations is at the heart of Adient Liverpool, incorporating Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Launch, CI and Training.

What will your responsibilities be?

Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator, you will assist Production through the efficient and effective maintenance of all Plant facilities in a timely manner and while promoting the vision and values of the business.  

Prioritise and respond to breakdowns when they occur in an effective and timely mannerWork with the other site function to introduce equipment and process changesCarry out maintenance activities in line with site maintenance equipment strategiesAccurately record and analyse data from equipment failures, escalating where necessaryManage the activities of outside contractors coming on siteSupport all aspects of the maintenance teams spares strategy including auditing, ordering, recording usage and replenishment

Working hours:

Currently working the following hours in a 3-shift rotation: Mon-Fri 05:30-13:30; Mon-Thu 13:15-22:30 + Fri 11:45-19:45; Mon-Thurs 22:00-6:00. Flexibility in working hours will be required.

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

Education/Qualification:

Maintenance apprenticeshipHNC Level 3 or above qualification in City & Guilds, NVQ or ONC

Job Experience:

Previous experience of working within a maintenance department as a technician or a similar multi-skilled role.

Skills/Knowledge:

Willingness to develop and embrace IT and new technologies in this area. Trained in or working towards 18th Edition and basic Siemens S7 programming and fault-finding. Robotics knowledge desirable – preferably ABB robotic maintenance and fault-finding with basic programming knowledge.An autonomous approach to problem-solving and fault-finding.Multi skilled with Electrical or Mechanical Bias
