**Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Prioritize throughout the day to resolve maintenance problems requiring immediate attention and ensure strict compliance with departmental safety regulations.
+ Respond to emergency calls for equipment failures, demonstrating your outstanding problem-solving skills.
+ Install, check, and repair electrical components, ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and systems.
+ Perform regular inspections of pump stations and machinery to ensure accurate functioning and compliance with local and federal laws and regulations.
+ Repair machinery as required, meticulously detailing repair procedures and replacement parts used.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance on facility pumps and machinery, including checking oil levels and lubricating moving parts, to prevent any potential issues.
+ Perform minor maintenance of plant and shop areas as needed, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
+ Operate weed-eaters and lawnmowers at pump stations to maintain the grounds, showcasing your attention to detail.
+ Maintain and upkeep repair and maintenance equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
+ Coordinate repair and maintenance work with department heads to efficiently complete tasks.
+ Gather and maintain data to support periodic and special reports, providing valuable insights into the activities within your area of responsibility.
+ Fill in as a wastewater treatment plant operator as needed, demonstrating your flexibility and adaptability.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
+ A minimum of one year of maintenance and repair-related experience.
+ A high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience in electrical, plumbing, or a closely related field, such as one year of college or specialized vocational training.
+ Must have a valid state driver's license and meet minimum driving standards.
+ Knowledge of electrical systems with voltage up to 480.
+ Familiarity with computerized maintenance management software.
**Working Conditions**
As a Maintenance Technician, you will encounter diverse working conditions, such as extreme temperatures, varying lighting conditions, dust or pollen, loud noises, vibrations, and fumes.
**Physical Requirements**
This position requires frequent standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing. You must have the ability to use your hands to operate and manipulate tools and equipment. Additionally, you should be capable of heavy physical exertion, including lifting over 50 pounds and exerting over 100 pounds of force regularly. Normal visual acuity, field of vision, hearing, and depth perception are also vital to performing the duties of this role effectively.
