What's the job?

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties as directed to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the production and other facility equipment and systems either as needed or according to established schedules to support production and other company operations.

Install and maintain production equipment and other facility equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment during production time. Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment, machines, and other systems within the facility. Perform maintenance repairs including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and others appropriate to the task at hand. Read and interpret equipment manuals, prints, diagrams, work orders, and other documents to perform needed maintenance or service. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Properly use a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and other tools/equipment while performing duties. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; and monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment – including Welding/Cutting/Grinding. Experience and knowledge of machining equipment and the use of metal cutting lathes, mills, and grinders. Maintains equipment, parts & supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, and anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Comply with all company policies with emphasis on those involving safety. Perform other duties as assigned.
