**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Shift is Weekend Nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) work 36, paid for 40 (5p-5a). Maintenance Technicians must be self-motivated and reliable. Other duties may include but are not limited to: performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Perform mechanic skills including (but not limited to): mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with company's safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance of machines. Perform facilities maintenance on transformers, generators, circuits, and wiring. Read work orders and manuals. Follow all policies and procedures in place from the company and industry (Good Manufacturing Practices/GMP). **Hard Skills** + Maintenance on production equipment + Mechanical and electrical maintenance on conveyor equipment, production equipment, ovens, boilers + Keeping up with Preventive maintenance schedule and responding to floor calls for reactive maintenance + Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems + Repair and maintain conveyors, valves, pumps, sensors, motors, drives + Troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs **Soft Skills** + Self-motivated + Reliable **Job Type** This is a permanent position. **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Louisville, Kentucky. **Work Environment** It is very clean because they have to follow food, health, and safety regulations. These are more strict than most manufacturing plants. They are mostly automated. There is a room upstairs that mixes the recipes for their customers with very recognizable names. The recipe is then funneled down into either large drums to ship out to restaurants that use it in large quantities.
