Maintenance Technician

DS Smith has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician for our Lebanon, Indiana facility. We are a corrugated manufacturing facility.

Pay $28-$38/Hr (based on corrugated manufacturing experience)

Benefits Eligibility starts Day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision)

Vacation: 2 weeks (prorated based on time of hire)

Hours: 

3rd shift 11:00PM- 7:00AM (offers shift premium)

Job Summary:

As an essential part of the team, you will perform maintenance activates to fix, improve, and/or repair items to maintain functioning within their operating specification. 

You will execute these activities, notify any new problems observed, and confirm work is complete.

Job Description:

Resolve machine breakdown issues with minimal impact to production.

Enter work orders for items discovered that needed to be repaired. 

Carry out regular maintenance, process improvements, and project activates to ensure equipment breakdown delay is minimized, process capability is maximized, and production and quality performance targets are met.

Complete all planned maintenance activities within the specified time frame of the PM schedule.  

Ensure that all work is carried out accurately, to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

Exercises effective decision making with respect to the cost of repairs. 

Research more cost effective and efficient ways of repairing and maintaining machinery.

Communicate directly with Operations team to develop a team approach to maintaining company assets. 

Use SAP a computerized Maintenance Management System, to navigate and review work order, Checkout parts and supplies, review task records and close tasks when complete. 

Communicate to supervisor record to MVP Plant completed work orders with the relevant information (parts used, Time spent, root cause, activates carried out.

Required Education and Experience:

1. Corrugator or converting manufacturing processes experience (preferred)

2. Must have Mechanical, Electrical & automation Knowledge

3. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations

4. Must have good communication skills, able to work in a systematic and rigorous way
