Purpose of Role: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of industrial equipment by performing advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. This role supports various types of equipment to minimize production downtime and enhance equipment reliability. Success in this role requires a combination of advanced mechanical and welding skills, the ability to learn new systems, maintain integrity, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues across a range of industrial equipment.

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.

Equipment Installation and Modification: Install, modify, and upgrade production equipment as needed to support operational efficiency.

Project Work: Perform basic mechanical construction and project tasks, including pipe fitting and machine shop operations.

Work Order Management: Respond promptly to work orders and management requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols including OSHA Lockout/Tagout, NFPA, NEC standards, and hazardous waste handling procedures.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Proficient in hydraulics and pneumatics systems.

Skilled in electrical power wiring, troubleshooting, and conduit runs.

Experienced in using electrical meters and pipe fitting for pneumatics, hydraulics, and coolants.

Competent in machine shop tools (lathe, mill, saw, etc.) and welding/fabrication.

Familiar with OSHA Lockout/Tagout, NFPA, NEC standards, and hazardous waste handling.

Knowledgeable in Observation Based Safety (OBS) practices.

Education: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to meet the job requirements.
