Maintenance Technician NY Description Summary The Maintenance Technician ensures all Crosby's locations meet maintenance and life safety standards. This role involves repairing and maintaining equipment and structural elements, managing inventory, ordering supplies and equipment, and conducting regular maintenance inspections. Adhering to the maintenance department's safety rules, policies, and procedures is crucial. The technician is also responsible for keeping accurate records and delivering exceptional service to stores and staff. Essential Functions A.Equipment and Property Maintenance + Maintain the required standards for the upkeep and repair of equipment, buildings, and properties across the Crosby’s portfolio. + Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, including drywall repair, painting, and fixing doors and other building fixtures. + Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of building systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop areas, and HVAC systems. B.Upgrades and Remodeling + Complete minor upgrades and remodeling projects. C.Routine and Specialized Maintenance + Carry out routine maintenance on building systems. + Maintain water filtration systems as needed. D.Cost Management + Manage repair and maintenance costs while ensuring stores are kept to the highest standards. E.Safety and Compliance + Adhere to and communicate the company operating and safety standards. + Ensure all locations comply with ADA regulations. + Comply with all relevant codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and workplace safety. + Conduct monthly safety audits and identify any necessary repairs. F.Inventory Management + Maintain an inventory of equipment and parts as needed. G.Record Keeping + Maintain and update maintenance and repair records as required. + Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed for completion. Requirements Minimum Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent. + Technical school education is preferred but not mandatory. + Must be 21 years of age or older. + At least two years of experience in related fields such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, general maintenance, and blueprint reading. + Proficient in using computer software for ordering, inventory management, and communication. + Exhibits a positive, service-oriented attitude with high energy, adaptability, and creativity. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. + Must possess a valid driver's license that complies with our insurance requirements. + Able to work comfortably with diverse groups of employees at all organizational levels. + Knowledge of OSHA regulations is a plus. + Demonstrate and support the Reid Group Values in all aspects of job performance: Trust in Relationships, Honesty, Focus on the Customers, Team Spirit, Cost Consciousness, Entrepreneurialism.
