Position Summary

Thales requires a Maintenance Technician (1st shift) to support production by setting-up, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading associated manufacturing equipment. Other tasks may be assigned by Manager as needed.

Key Areas of Responsibility 
•    Focus on production equipment performance to optimize safety, efficiency, quality, and reduced downtime.
•    Develop procedures to improve equipment throughput and quality. 
•    Perform scheduled preventative maintenance – Weekly and Monthly
•    Troubleshoot and repair equipment with a focus on identifying the root cause of failure and implementing permanent solutions to ongoing equipment problems. 
•    Look for methods to keep repair costs down, and relationships with vendors positive.
•    Work within ISO 9001, 14001, and 50001 framework.


Minimum Qualifications

•    Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
•    Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. 
•    Basic understanding of computers (ie: Microsoft outlook, excel, word).
•    Ability to operate various hand tools.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: Core work hours will be 1st shift (M-F, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), occasional Saturday overtime as required by production schedule.

Physical Environment: Manufacturing/Production Floor, Warehouse. The position may often require standing, kneeling, or crouching for extended periods. In addition, occasional lifting of 50+ pounds or exerting physical force will also be required
