SUMMARY: The primary focus of this position is to perform assigned work related to the maintenance and improvement of the manufacturing plant equipment and building. In addition, the maintenance technician may be required to fill in or otherwise contribute to the operation of the plant including manual labor if necessary.
CRITICAL SKILLS: Troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment which will require mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills and understanding.
Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment.Respond to equipment outages and troubleshoot as necessary. iii. Execute various electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation aspects of improvement projectsComplete documentation as required by the plant preventive maintenance and work order systems.Operate forklift, scissor lift, and other material handling equipment. Must be able to perform basic mathDevelop a thorough technical understanding of the plant equipment.Be instrumental in continuous improvement efforts related to safety quality, and efficiency.Flexible to work overtime if needed. In our industry, all overtime is not scheduled as we get rush orders from time-to-time.Apply specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain and repair production machinery and equipment as well as maintaining the buildings and groundsAbility to read, write, and perform complex mathAbility to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
