Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on the building, ensuring safe and functional operationsConduct routine preventative maintenance procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize efficiencyHandle landscaping tasks to maintain a clean and presentable exteriorRepair and troubleshoot issues related to office equipment, such as printers, copiers, and computersUtilize problem-solving skills to address commonly occurring maintenance issues promptlyCollaborate closely with the EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) team to ensure compliance with facility safety checks and requirementsMaintain accurate EHS records using internal software and Microsoft programsReplace HVAC filters to maintain optimal indoor air quality and assist with minor HVAC repairs as neededPerform simple painting projects to improve the aesthetics of the facilityConduct basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks and unclogging drainsDemonstrate proficiency in basic carpentry tasks, such as repairing doors, windows, and flooringOrder replacement parts and components for various building systems and equipment as necessaryEnsure effective communication with all levels on the production floor to address maintenance requests and provide updates on repairsCoordinate with suppliers and external stakeholders to fulfill equipment needs promptly and efficiently

Qualifications:

Previous experience in the maintenance field, demonstrating knowledge of repair and maintenance techniquesAbility to effectively problem solve and utilize basic mathematical skills, such as addition, subtraction, and fractionsAgility and fast learning ability to adapt to new maintenance processes and technologiesProficiency in Microsoft Programs and willingness to learn and use EHS software for record-keeping purposesHigh school diploma or GED requiredForklift experience preferred, but not required

Required Skills:

Strong ability to read and understand technical manuals to effectively repair equipmentProficiency in performing minor plumbing repairs and painting tasksFamiliarity with working with various hand tools, such as drills, saws, hammers, etc.Sound knowledge of maintenance work related to building care, including basic carpentry skillsExperience in performing maintenance work on HVAC systemsCapability to work independently or as part of a small team to complete assigned tasksExcellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels on the production floorAbility to communicate with suppliers and external stakeholders to fulfill equipment needs promptly and accurately
