Provide daily technical support for multiple departments in a manufacturing environment as well as Class A office space within a 244,00SF facility in Austin, TX. Works with leadership to assure day to day building equipment and associated systems function smoothly and efficiently, collaborates with co-workers on service activity, ensures that vendor services are performed in accordance with HID policies and procedures, along with the scheduling and completion of short- and long-term projects.

As our Facilities Coordinator III, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

Providing general building/facility systems maintenance services for safe and comfortable operation. Planning, organizing and prioritizing work orders, planned preventive maintenance, and to ensure that critical tasks are done timely and efficiently. Performing facility repairs and maintenance for internal customers including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance. Coordinating with vendors to develop preventative maintenance and repair programs on all building mechanical infrastructures. Identifying and recommending tools, equipment, and processes which will elevate productivity, track & report equipment performance, improve operational efficiencies. Updating and maintaining records to track maintenance and repairs. Performing minor construction projects and/or developing estimates to provide scope of work, cost, and scheduling. Inspecting entire building to identify general corrective maintenance as necessary for proper maintenance and operation of various equipment, fixtures, etc. Maintaining inventory control of basic general use parts and supplies.  Acting in a lead capacity in absence of management. Providing training for new facilities team members. Working within the HID Global protocols to align with all aspects of Safety. Supporting all site emergency preparedness and response efforts. Participating in furniture moving and event set up including chairs, tables, tents, and any temporary structures necessary for special occasions. Providing exemplary customer service to internal and external customers.

 

What we will love about your background: 

 

Excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills. High level of Knowledge of HVAC systems and Facilities operations. Proficient use of hand and power tools. Utilize complete functionality of Computer Managed Maintenance Systems and procedures. Reads and comprehends technical journals, specifications, schematics, blueprints, and as-built drawings. Embraces applicable regulations related to EH&S and OSHA compliance. Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Proficient knowledge in operating a Building Management System. Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc. Perform all duties as assigned with diligence and in a thorough, detailed manner. Punctuality and reliability is a must. Ability to perform at high level in a dynamic environment. Ability to exercise good judgement and make key decisions to maintain production schedules and minimize any disruptions. Ability to deliver a high level of customer service. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

 

Two-year degree in technically related field desired. Minimum seven years of maintenance experience in a commercial building and/or manufacturing facility.
