Opportunity on 1st shift  M-F 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Opportunity on 3rd shift  M-F 10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

Role Responsibilities:

Arc and gas welding, cutting, brazing, silver and soft solderingInterpret blueprints and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping) for machines and buildingsTroubleshoot electrical A/C and D/C circuits using electrical metering equipmentTroubleshoot hydraulic systemsTroubleshoot pneumatic systemsUse basic shop tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, grinders, etc.Install and relocate equipmentMaintain preventative maintenance programs in assigned areasRepair production equipment with minimal interruption to productionLocate and help maintain maintenance inventory through the use of a computerized inventory systemMaintain buildings and grounds as neededInspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test and adjust equipment of all types for safe and proper operation.  Notify Maintenance Systems Administrator of any malfunctioning equipment or machine deficienciesMaintain a clean and orderly work area, and take proper care of tools and equipmentMaintain a positive working relationship with all Donaldson employeesProvide positive feedback for corrective action plans to improve equipment reliabilityComply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and proceduresUse all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required

Qualifications:

A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience.Read blueprints and schematicsUnderstand pumps and valves and their applicationUnderstand refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipmentPossess confidence in his/her ‘hands-on’ trouble shooting abilityUnderstand P.L.C. conceptsExhibit mechanical aptitudeExhibit knowledge of industrial electric symbols and line diagrams, control logic-line diagrams, AC/DC motors, motor starters and motor controllersPlan, implement, and finalize assigned projects with minimal supervisionContinue education as it applies to technical job requirementsExhibit knowledge of OSHA standardsRetain knowledge of the department of operationMake sound decisionsMaintain consistent high quality in work habitsCommunicate effectively with all plant employeesMaintain accurate recordsAdhere to safety proceduresExhibit attention to detailPerform a variety of tasks throughout the day in a fast paced work environmentInteract constructively and effectively with all plant employeesWork in a team environment toward a common goalReact to change productively and to handle other tasks as assignedMaintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
