Position Overview:

The Facility Maintenance Technician performs duties required to maintain the building, grounds, and plant facilities. Job will include general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and other building systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspects and troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs. Plans repair work using blueprints and manuals as needed. Ability to identify proper tool for a job and utilize tool safely. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.  Performs routine preventative maintenance on building systems. Performs minor repairs and maintenance to facility HVAC systems. Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly. Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance. Maintains necessary records. Performs monthly safety checks. Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the facility (including but not limited to, hanging pictures, unclogging drains and toilets, painting, moving furniture, etc.).
