PCC Mason is seeking a talented and senior level Maintenance Technician for our Advanced Manufacturing plant.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for keeping all facilities and equipment/machinery in the plant functioning and available, troubleshooting problems as they arise, and implementing preventive maintenance procedures. This includes performing total preventive maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication and robotic equipment.

Essential Functions:

Troubleshoot and Resolve Breakdowns: Attend to breakdowns, swiftly identify faults, and efficiently problem-solve to minimize production downtime repairs on various types of equipment including robots, furnaces, tools machine, press, conveyors, and pumps.Performs maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, lubrication, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate. Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells, or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery. Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.Performs other duties as assigned.Reporting and Feedback: Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management, promoting a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Assist in the development of PPM schedules, carry out PPM activities as necessary, and provide feedback to enhance the effectiveness of the maintenance system.Machine Handling and Installation: Support the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment as required.Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS): Utilize the CMMS effectively to record work, track progress, and manage maintenance tasks.Provides reliability expertise and actively promotes a culture of reliability.Identify opportunities to improve equipment condition monitoring.Analyze spare parts requirements and identify obsolete or excess spare parts.Safety, Compliance, and Reporting: Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality management procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. Report all incidents, accidents, and equipment problems promptly.Meets or exceeds expectations for quality of work performed.Practices good housekeeping in the shop and at the job site.Notes any uncorrected discrepancies on all work orders.

Required Skills:

Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.Complies with company and departmental policies and procedures, including company’s attendance policy.Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as needed, including after hours and emergency support.Responds quickly and professionally to the needs of production.Maintains company tools and equipment to ensure availability and serviceability.

Experience & Education:

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in repair/maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on industrial manufacturing equipment.Experience in robotic maintenance is a plus.High School diploma or GED is expected.Knowledgeable of Hazardous material handling protocols, OSHA safety standards, and NEC (National Electrical Code).

Physical Requirements

Standing for prolonged periods of time – up to 8 hours or more per day. Frequent lifting of objects up to 45 pounds. Noise level is usually moderate. Fast-paced environment, subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment. Moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots or shoes.
