**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on food processing equipment. This includes both mechanical and electrical repairs. The role also entails breaking down machinery for cleaning and starting up the machinery. Candidates must possess strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventive maintenance on food processing equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
+ Break down machinery for cleaning and reassemble for startup.
+ Work 6-7 days a week, including 10-12 hour shifts.
+ Utilize maintenance experience to perform repairs and PMs on equipment and machines in the plant.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial mechanic or technician role.
+ Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with control voltage (24V to 480V) and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
+ Mechanical experience with pneumatics, power transmission, pulleys, chains, sprockets, drives, motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and gears.
+ Basic PLC knowledge.
+ Ability to work 10-12 hour days for 7 days a week.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Technical certification or associate's degree in a relevant field of study is a plus.
+ Food/GMP experience is a huge plus.
+ Experience in food manufacturing maintenance is beneficial.
+ Skills in welding and fabricating.

**Work Environment**
The facility is a food manufacturing plant that requires adherence to GMPs daily. It is a refrigerated environment. The facility operates on multiple shifts: 1st shift (5am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am), and 3rd shift (11pm-8am), with training provided on the 1st shift for about 1-2 weeks. The work schedule currently involves working 5-6 days a week. Tools will be provided, including both basic and specialty tools, with the option for candidates to bring their own basic tools if preferred.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
