Hours:Full time, Monday - Friday.39 working hours per week.Salary:
£ 27,357.72
Position Summary:The site facilities support role will ensure all plant, equipment and facilities are maintained and in a safe working state. Under general direction and always complying with current Health & Safety legislation, undertake a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repair tasks. You will build a working relationship with all Departments and contractors, so day to day functions run smoothly.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: To ensure work is carried out in accordance with all safety, GDP and COSHH regulations, Organisation Policy and instructionsMaintenance duties adept in handling preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and cosmetic upkeepTo assist the manager in ensuring all weekly/monthly tests are carried out in respect of fire, emergency lighting and water safety.Manage maintenance program and supervise activities to assure equipment's proper operation, and keep appropriate records.To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with all safety, GDP and COSHH regulations, Organisation Policy and instructionsAssist the manager in reporting and record facilities and equipment changes.Assist the manager in reporting monthly Facilities key performance indicators (cost, incl. quotes, MHE downtime, repair time) to the LPM.Assist the manager in generating timely and concise communication regarding repairs, works status, risks and pending issues.Ensure the Fire alarm system test is carried out on a weekly basis checking that all systems function against check list.To undertake general handyman duties as requested by the manager , incl:Painting and decorating, maintenance of warehouse machinery (training will be provided), occasional visits to Link Points.Main point of contact for all contractors on site To complete site inductions with all contractors on initial shift and ensure they are signed in.

Manual Handling
It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.

Key DimensionsReporting directly to the Facilities & Safety Manager, the Maintenance Technician will aim to support the Service Centre in developing an increased culture of awareness on a number of subjects and maintain standards to the very highest level.
Key Working Relationships
You will need to interact with all departments and at levels on a daily basis. The role will also involve interaction with contractors conducting work on site.
Level of Decision Making
Working alongside Managers to highlight safety issues and complete all action plans.
The person employed in this role will be expected to use their initiative when dealing with general queries within limits set by company policy and Line Manager.
Additional Information
You will be required to at times work alone and must be able to use your initiative.
Computer literacy would be beneficial but not essential to update audit matrices.
