Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Maintenance Technician. Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, this position keeps site machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair. Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operations. Shift: 1st shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30PM
Location: Owatonna, Minnesota
What you will do:
Performs preventive maintenance on equipment Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments and replaces/repairs defective components or equipment Performs work involving programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), Human Interface Modules (HMI’s), etc. May have to work with equipment operators to diagnose equipment breakdowns, and to determine root cause Tests faulty equipment, performs basic electrical troubleshooting, and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics and equipment to diagnose the cause of the malfunction Trains with contractors or outside equipment representatives as needed Submits purchase order requisitions for parts Maintains records of repairs and work orders completed Moves and sets up workstations/offices Troubleshoots and repairs minor maintenance problems involving facility, electrical, and plumbing Participates as part of the emergency response team. May assist outside emergency response teams May provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff Observes and complies with Company safety procedures at all timesWhat’s in it for you:

High School Diploma or GED. Previous manufacturing experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification. Must be able to obtain and maintain a First Aid certification.Preferred Qualifications:
