What Will Be Your Environment:
The Wilmington, MA plant is about 18 miles North of historic Boston, MA. We support the production of specialty medical devices with a team of about 105 employees.
What You'll Do:
As Maintenance Technician you will maintain and improve the electrical and mechanical systems, control systems and instrumentation throughout the facility: The Technician supports the maintenance and engineering functions regarding repairs of existing equipment and design and implementation of new installations.
What We're Looking For:
Solve complex electrical and mechanical problems. Collaborate with Engineering to design and implement robust solutions for manufacturing and development equipment. Maintain and support a variety of electrical, instrumentation, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-Phase power. Respond to emergency work requests to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including power, mechanical, instrument, and control equipment. Perform periodic preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, including tasks such as changing oil, filters, belts, and other replaceable parts. Assist in the development and improvement of internal standards for electrical/mechanical installation, maintenance, and safety. Maintain logs, check sheets, and other documentation with timely and accurate information on all equipment.Skills That Make a Difference:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) Electrician License preferred. Either a graduate of an industrial apprenticeship program or 2-year technical school with at least 3 years industrial experience or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a maintenance electrician/mechanic in an industrial manufacturing facility. Has a working knowledge of process instrumentation, process control, piping, welding, hydraulics, motor control circuits, AC/DC voltage, electrical circuits, and electrical distribution. Experience with PLC troubleshooting, instrumentation and other electrical troubleshooting and repairs Ability to understand and interpret schematic drawings of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc. Ability to work on energized equipment and recognize when the potential electrical hazard requires an electrical license. Have good mathematical skills to understand electrical/electronic calculations. Able to pass forklift training performed by the employer.
Considered a Plus:
Familiarity with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Fundamental understanding of SAP is a plus.
Working Conditions:
M-F 8 hours with possibility of overtime Support 24/7 plant activities by being on-call and performing OT Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Ability to use ladders and stairways to access roofs and equipment Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment. Work is performed within a controlled environment; noise levels in some areas require hearing protection. Must be willing/able to be exposed to inclement weather while moving throughout the plant during the work day as required. Expected to wear all required PPE.
