**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are actively seeking industrial maintenance candidates responsible for performing breakdown and preventative maintenance on production and supporting equipment within a large dairy production facility.
**Responsibilities**
+ Carry out tasks issued by maintenance shift supervisor.
+ Troubleshoot support system problems using basic problem-solving skills.
+ Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment assigned to you.
+ Complete all standard work orders and preventative maintenance tasks assigned. Submit all completed paperwork.
+ Record information in required logbooks for systems history and continuous improvement.
+ Record any parts/components used for repairs to ensure replenishment of On-Hand balances are maintained, and properly dispose of used parts/components.
+ Ensure quality standards set by the company are adhered to after PM’s and/or repairs are made to equipment.
+ Perform machine repairs based upon a maintenance call or an assignment in a timely fashion.
+ Maintain cleanliness of the areas you are working in; properly dispose of the parts/components you have replaced.
+ Promote a safe and harmonious work environment with adherence to company policy, procedures, safety, and health regulations.
+ Maintain compliance with S.Q.F. Certification.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma
+ Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
+ Technical training or electrical/mechanical technician degree, or verifiable comparable experience
+ Food manufacturing background is a plus
+ Must be able to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (electric/manual)
+ Experience with programmable logic controller, instruments and controls is preferred
+ Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the mechanical field; working with boilers, ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, air handling units and HVAC is a plus

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a large dairy production facility where you will be responsible for maintaining production and supporting equipment. You will be expected to adhere to safety and health regulations, maintain compliance with S.Q.F. Certification, and ensure the cleanliness of your work areas. The role requires the operation of forklifts and pallet jacks (electric/manual), and familiarity with various mechanical systems including boilers, ammonia refrigeration, air compressors, air handling units, and HVAC.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, New York.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00
