We are seeking skilled individuals to join our team as Multi-craft Technician. This intermediate-level position offers opportunities to apply and expand your industrial maintenance skills in a dynamic environment. As a Multi-craft Technician, you will perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and automation systems, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our facility while continuing to develop your expertise.
Essential Job Functions:
· Intermediate Maintenance and Repair: Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on various industrial equipment and automation systems with minimal supervision.
· Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
· Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory safety standards. Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
· Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
· Training: Provide basic training to junior technicians and operators on proper use and maintenance of equipment and systems.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on each task.
· Collaboration: Work with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and participate in cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
Physical Requirements:
· Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds throughout the shift.
· Reach, grasp, bend, and stoop for up to 10 hours at a time.
· Ability to work at heights (overhead conveyors, outbound trash line, sorter, etc.) by climbing stairs or ladder or using a scissor lift.
· Ability to work on all equipment throughout the facility -- which will require the ability to bend, stoop, crawl, reach, and work from knees or back to access equipment.
· Good hand/eye coordination.
· Ability to work in confined areas.
· Ability to work around moving machinery/equipment.
· Stand for the duration of the work shift and walk/move continuously.
· Adjust to climate changes; the warehouse may have hot and cold extremes.
Specialty Skills and Training:
· Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
· Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
· Comprehensive knowledge of workplace safety procedures and regulations.
· Computer skills for maintenance management systems and basic troubleshooting.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
What Will Put You Ahead?
· Associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field
· 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field
· Certifications in specific areas (e.g., electrical, HVAC, welding)
· Experience with PLC systems and automation controls
· Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques
Work Schedule:
· Full-time
· Monday -- Friday Subject to change based on business needs
· May require occasional overtime as needed
