Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

Responsible for maintaining the operation of industrial equipment throughout the Distribution Center. You will perform preventative maintenance on various equipment including high speed unit sorters, case sorters, PLC controllers, conveyor controls, VFD controls, ASRS systems, MDR conveyors, and powered curve conveyors.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on high speed unit sorters (Cross Belt, Tilt Tray, Sliding Shoe).Maintain and troubleshoot case sorters (Narrow Belt, Pop Up, Sliding Shoe, Swivel wheel).Understand and work with PLC controllers, including processes and I/O (inputs & outputs).Manage conveyor controls such as Pyramid.Troubleshoot photo eyes, encoders, scanners, and dimensioners.Work with VFD controls.Maintain ASRS systems (Automatic Storage & Retrieval System).Service MDR conveyors (Motorized Drive Roller) and powered curve conveyors.Apply electrical knowledge to 600v, 480v, 240v, 120v, 24v, and 12v systems.Understand and work with transformers and motor control panels.Replace and wire up a 3 phase 480v motor with a brake.Replace gear box speed reducers.Re-lace or replace conveyor belts of various sizes and lengths.Understand and maintain air control systems (Air Compressors, Valves, actuators, cylinders, devices).Work with hydraulics (Pumps, hoses, fittings).Maintain trash compactors and corrugated balers.Perform maintenance services and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and painting.Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.Utilize a thorough knowledge of all shop tools.Essential SkillsPreventive maintenanceMechanical skillsTroubleshootingReading schematics and blueprintsElectrical knowledge (600v, 480v, 240v, 120v, 24v, 12v)Knowledge of transformers and motor control panelsAdditional Skills & QualificationsMust have own toolsMinimum 1 year experience in Industrial Maintenance, performing preventative maintenance (preferred 2 years)Completion of Industrial Automation, Electrical, or Mechatronics programs at Trade School (Norco, Chaffey, UEI, etc.)Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Distribution Center over 3 million square feet. Shifts/Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday, with shifts available from 6am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm, and 10:00pm-6:30am.

This is a Contract position based out of Moreno Valley, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00
