Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical) | Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield | Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) | Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems | Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Troubleshoot and repair factory machinery, laser, electrical and mechanical, pneumatic systems.Correct and/or improve existing production processes and equipment.Collaborate with engineers and technical staff on process improvements and plant changes.Operate simple test equipment, including, but not limited to: Multi-meter, tape measure, dial indicators, measurement tools.Move machinery, including rigging and utility connections.Fabricate equipment as needed, including cutting, welding, grinding.Troubleshoot CNC programs and machine controllers.Manage AMMS system - PM/TPM work order system and daily maintenance workload.   Ensure that proper safety procedures are used in maintaining and repairing of production equipment. Foster Safety program to continually improve safety practices.Monitor and communicate on equipment repairs with operations, engineering, and staff level employees.Comfortable with computer usage, email, Microsoft word, excel and project.Track and report on metrics for schedule attainment and machine downtime.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, and color vision.
