On our team, you will work as part of the overall plant team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable execution of plant machinery operation and maintenance. Our technicians are primarily responsible for the planning and execution of routine mechanical maintenance, as designated by the SAP maintenance program, and non-routine maintenance as and when required. You will provide the hands-on mechanical services, performing a variety of mechanical related activities on continuous production Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformers (SMRs), with machinery such as compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, pumps, pressure relief valves, and pressure systems.

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Ensure that all plant mechanical facilities are maintained to a safe and serviceable condition, so that they can consistently attain their performance targetsResponsible to perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on an assortment of pumps, compressors, and turbines.Accountable to perform assigned Critical activities as per Process Safety requirementsUpdate maintenance records, investigation findings & prepare relevant reportsWork with technical staff and plant management to solve plant and equipment problems as they arise in the safest & most effective wayOversee contractors completing field work to ensure work is completed to company standards.Initiate purchasing procedures when necessary to ensure sufficient quantities of replacement parts and supplies are on hand at all times.Perform non-routine maintenance duties as necessary or as directed by Supervisor to ensure minimum production downtime and maximum operator safety.Assist in the proper storage and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste according to Company policy and applicable regulatory agency guidelinesProvide support for Turnaround execution in related Process Units.Serve as primary point of contact with various outside suppliers who provide support services.Become qualified as a Crane Lift SupervisorMaintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.Finish training activities successfully and on time.This is a safety sensitive position.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

High school diploma, or equivalent required4 + years of experience in a plant environment with mechanical troubleshooting, including piping, pneumatic, and electrical systemsFamiliar with compressors, turbines, pumps (multistage), valves, and fans (fin fans)Completion of recognized mechanical apprenticeship or other Trade/Technical degree in a related field is highly desirableKnowledge of industry safety regulations and operating practicesGood interpersonal and good verbal and written communications skillsMust be able to work as an individual contributor or as part of a team as the work dictates.Demonstrated commitment to safety.Ability to use MS Office programs and knowledge of SAP or other computer based Maintenance ProgramsAbility to provide out of hours assistance for plant emergencies and operational/maintenance issues on a call-out basis.

 Work Hours

4/10 schedulePrimary work location will be within PFB refineries. May support other facilities in the area as needed.

Hourly rate: $49.87/hr
