Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will have past experiences in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, as well as fabrication and welding skills.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage maintenance operations within the machine shop.Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues.Perform fabrication and welding tasks as needed.Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production.Essential SkillsStrong mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems knowledge.Proficiency in fabrication and welding.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience in a maintenance supervisory role.Ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Experience with sanding, grinding, and polishing.Ability to work in a dirty, hot, and older facility environment.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
