Job Description
The maintenance technician role focuses on machine installations, setup of highly automated equipment including controls, automation, and electrical systems. The technician will support and provide ongoing preventive, planned, and unplanned maintenance on production equipment associated with their assigned areas once installations are complete.
ResponsibilitiesOversee new equipment installation, setup, modification, and repair to ensure machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to OEM specifications.Perform troubleshooting and investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, bring production back online, and make recommendations to prevent re-occurrences.Inspect and check equipment for proper operating condition, make necessary adjustments, log test readings, and maintain, repair, or replace equipment parts. Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems, including repair and rework to meet and maintain specs and tolerances.Essential SkillsExperience in Industrial Maintenance with emphasis on electrical controls.Intermediate knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and vision controls.Intermediate knowledge of Electrical Theory for AC/DC circuits and Motor Controls (VFD, Servo).Fundamental understanding of mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders.Ability to connect wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, and splice wire.Ability to replace or repair belts, chains, or cables on machinery.Ability to align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.Potential to operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures.HS Diploma or GED AND Industrial Maintenance Certificate, Journeyman Card, or Associates Degree in related field.Minimum of 4 years of Industrial Maintenance experience (preferred in automotive, chemical, food, etc.) OR at least 7 years of Industrial Maintenance experience without a certificate or degree.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This new construction, massive battery manufacturing facility is clean and climate controlled. Initially, the work schedule will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, transitioning to a 24x7 operation in January 2025 with 12-hour shifts on a 3-2-2 pattern. There will be both day and night shifts, and no shift rotations will be required for hourly employees.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00
