**Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
Our Client manufactures various auto batteries. The battery casing is received from the Florence, KY plant, and the Fort Wayne plant then "energizes" the battery by filling it with acid. The battery is charged at charging tables, goes through a quality check, and then moves to the labeling line before being sent directly to the customer. The Maintenance Technician will ensure that production machinery is maintained in a safe operating condition, meeting uptime requirements to assure uninterrupted production.
**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure production machinery is maintained in a safe operating condition, meeting uptime requirements to assure uninterrupted production.
+ Troubleshoot and repair machinery, conveyors, and robotics.
+ Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
+ Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
+ Work all shifts up to 12 hours and occasional overtime.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ Years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
+ Electrical troubleshooting experience
+ Own tooling
+ Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
+ Comfortable with blood tests (tests for lead levels)
+ Battery experience
+ PLC Experience
+ Robotics Experience

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **Fort Wayne, Indiana** .
**Shifts available from 5:45pm - 6:15am (2-2-3).**
**Initial training will be on the 1st shift for approximately 90 days (7am-3:30pm, M-F).**
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.80 - $33.70
