Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to manage and inspect facilities, equipment, and supplies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will operate and maintain high power and/or high voltage equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and handle emergency repairs.

ResponsibilitiesManage and inspect facilities, equipment, and supplies to meet health and safety regulations.Instruct team members on the best practices to maintain the property.Operate and maintain high power and/or high voltage equipment, such as forklifts, battery/manual pallet jacks, scissor lifts, power tools, pressure washers, snow blowers, etc.Inspect and replace filters on HVAC units and injection molding machines.Complete internal maintenance orders.Change light bulbs and fixtures.Monitor and order cleaning supplies.Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.Perform seasonal outdoor groundskeeping duties, including snow blowing and ice removal.Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.Collaborate with the building owner on budgeting for the facility's needs.Create and maintain budgets for maintenance, repairs, and contracts.Negotiate contracts with service providers.Plan, coordinate, and oversee all renovations, installations, and refurbishments.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs for all molding and auxiliary equipment.Document all completed preventive maintenance and repairs within the ERP software system.Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns.Complete maintenance department paperwork and corresponding computer entries.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.Perform various repairs including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and basic electrical.Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments.Complete minor electrical work such as motor replacement, fuse replacement, and switches.Order replacement parts and diagnose problems with control systems.Manage spare parts inventory and procure necessary components for maintenance and repairs.Handle quoting and vendor relationships for parts, supplies, and machine manufacturers.Oversee outside vendors performing installations and projects at the facility.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.Essential SkillsMechanicalHydraulicsPneumaticsPreventive maintenanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 2+ years of experience in plastic injection molding.Previous experience as a maintenance technician in a plastics injection molding manufacturing environment preferred.Background in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, and basic electrical circuit systems.Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
