**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong communication and problem-solving skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the team by accomplishing tasks on time and with high quality, exhibiting a sense of teamwork with all departments and job levels. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical problems with industrial food production and packaging equipment and the plant's facilities. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose and resolve technical problems with equipment such as pumps, motors, low pressure boilers, air compressors, conveyors, heat sealers, printers, labelers, blowers, warehouse dock doors, dehydrators, mills, blenders, carts, and chillers. + Communicate appropriate information about equipment and repairs to operational personnel and supervisors. + Perform troubleshooting in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. + Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for industrial equipment and machinery. + Perform calibration of instruments such as temperature gauges, thermocouples, pressure gauges, flowmeters, scales, and maintain records according to the calibration plan. + Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. + Close out work orders using a web-based Maintenance Management System. + Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. + Communicate with equipment suppliers for technical support. + Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and other equipment. + Comply with safety regulations, food safety programs, and other standard operating procedures. + Maintain a clean and orderly work area. + Assist with special projects as required. **Essential Skills** + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Experience in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. + Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools, electric meters, and other equipment. + Familiarity with safety regulations and food safety programs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Comfortable with a blended facilities and equipment maintenance role. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team where teamwork and high-quality work are valued. The role involves working a 4/10 schedule on the 2nd shift. The environment requires adherence to safety regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Overtime may be required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
