Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.Demonstrated proficiency in industrial maintenance and fault finding on electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic systems. Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and /or mechanical diagrams as well as fault finding in control panels on industrial systems.Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: PLC’s, Fabrication, Welding, Vacuum Technology.Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications would be an advantage.Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.Ability to pass medical which includes assessments for working at height and in confined spaces.Proactive work ethic, strong initiative, and the ability to operate independently within a shift team environment.
An opportunity has arisen within the Casting Maintenance department for a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate would be multiskilled (Mechanical and Electrical) or a single trade Mechanical Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent, full-time shift position. Shift Patterns available are Monday to Friday 6-2 & 2-10 or a 7-day continental pattern.
