Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, 6:00 PM-6:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $27.00 an hour + $2.00 shift differential

Position Responsibilities:

Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working orderInspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts and make sure necessary adjustments to ensure continuing production operationYou use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment/You use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, and may test parts/equipment on plant and production equipment.You use shop equipment to fabricate new or replacement parts.You will do electrical and pneumatic work to production machines.You perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks during and at the end of shift.

Position Qualifications:

High school diploma education or equivalent2 – 3 years vocational tech training in machine maintenance and 3 years as packaging mechanic or 5 years experience as a packaging mechanic.Read and write English for comprehension of written assembly directions and completion of Production / QA documentsMechanical, electrical and electronics experience including Programmable Logic ControllerFamiliar with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, basic hand tools including electric hand toolsFamiliarity with electronic controlsLift up to 50 pounds
