Maintenance Technician - Facilities (Talbert House)

Position Summary: Performs maintenance duties at various agency properties across the region. Ensures quality of work and timeliness of completion for maintenance projects.

Position Description:

Ensures the overall maintenance of multiple Agency facilities; work is completed timely and with qualityPerforms primarily interior and exterior building maintenance and repair works such as basic plumbing and electrical, carpentry, painting, wall repair and replacing doors/partsPicks up supplies and equipment for facilitiesWorks with external vendors and contractors as neededMonitors work to ensure compliance with specificationsMoves furniture and equipment as necessaryMaintains accurate documentation of work orders through agency systemOther duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and plansAbility to plan material and supply needsKnowledge of building maintenance techniques and tools involved in the upkeep of buildings, fixtures and structuresKnowledge of emergency proceduresSkills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and preventive/general maintenanceDriving of personal vehicle

Job Requirements:

High School Graduate or High School Equivalency1-3 years of experienceValid driver license and auto insurance

Essential Functions/Physical Demands:

Positional: Driving in accordance with job duties assigned. Frequent standing and walking. Infrequent sitting.Gross Mobility: Frequent climbing or crawling. Infrequent balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Frequent to constant reaching and handling.May require ability to walk up to 4 flights of stairs consecutively, depending on location.Sensory: Rare tasting/smelling. Infrequent use of color vision. Occasional use of far visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision. Frequent use of near and midrange visual acuity and visual accommodation. Occasional talking.
