Maintenance Technician I
Job Purpose Support the company’s maintenance program by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies and OSHA regulations. Essential Functions + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) + Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment (e.g., wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives) + Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment + Perform building maintenance and repairs (e.g., air conditioning, lights, forklifts) + Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed + Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel + Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures + Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies) + Strong troubleshooting skills + Skilled in pneumatics, and hydraulics + Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices + Well rounded electrical, mechanical and machine shop skills and experience + Written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work overtime as needed + High school diploma or equivalent + Technical degree in a maintenance related field, MN Special Engineer Boiler License or higher, or refrigeration experience preferred + $2,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days.
