Maintenance Technician I

JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician at our automotive seating plant in Warren, MI.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipmentTroubleshoot electrical systems including, but not limited to three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives and running electrical conduitAllen Bradley programming and troubleshooting

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Observe mechanical devices in operation and diagnose malfunctionsDismantle devices to gain access to, and remove, defective partsMake approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needsRepair or replace defective parts.  Lubricate and clean partsStart the device to test its performanceMaintain, install, and repair electrical equipmentKeep accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records and ensure all revisions to equipment and tools are properly recordedMaintain 5S in shop and work areaGood problem-solving skillsGood communication skills (verbal, listening, and written)Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appearAbility to lift and/or carry 50 lbs.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum 3-5 years maintenance experienceSkilled manufacturing maintenance experience requiredExperience in maintenance support of a large production facility preferred

This position is open for our B-Crew shift and C-Crew shift
