Location: University Park, IL Department: Maintenance Tech I Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Your Role: This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting, analyzing, and repair of the company’s rolling stock machinery (lift trucks, pallet wrappers, and other miscellaneous electrical or mechanical equipment).
Maintain and make repairs to the facility as necessary to include painting, masonry, carpentry and plumbing. Perform basic electrical work and assist experienced technicians as directed with more complicated work. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication and adjustments on all warehouse and material handling equipment on time with minimal disruption to production. Track repairs, labor time and parts/materials used for work order entry. Assist other technicians to troubleshoot and repair all warehouse and material handling equipment as necessary. Maintain the grounds including mowing, irrigation & snow removal. Industrial battery watering & maintenance. Membership of and participation with the site’s emergency response team. Participate in periodic internal and external audits. Occasional travel for outside training or meetings. Assist other technicians and perform duties as assigned.Role Specifics:
Schedule: Full Time Full time, schedule TBD Temperature extremes from -10 degrees in the freezer to 100+ outside in the heat. Working at heights. Works in situations where human error could result in serious financial loss or personal injury. Extensive standing/walking on concrete floors. We Need You To Have:
High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license required. Physically able to access all areas of the facility for installation and repair of equipment and to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to safely operate powered equipment. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literate. Good mechanical aptitude and ability/willingness to learn new skills. Commitment to perform duties in a safe manner.We’d like you to have:
