Reports to: Facilities Manager
Location: Deckers Brands Distribution Center in Mooresville, Indiana (near clayton)

The Role

The Maintenance Technician II , under general supervision of the Facilities Lead, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, modification and repair activities in assigned maintenance operational areas which may include buildings, conveyors, electrical and performs related work as required.

The job will entail preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of heavy industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position will be working with AC/DC controls, PLC controlled equipment, pneumatics, hydraulic and electricity and with voltages of up to 480 volts. Manage minor projects and plan maintenance work orders. Provide training to lower grade levels. In addition to the technical skills requires the ability to assign work, direct employees, review work performed and documentation on work orders.

Your Impact

Provide day-to-day direction to the members of the maintenance team. Inspect work performed by others and review the documentation on work orders.Under general supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repair racking, office furniture moves, setups and other facilities related tasks. Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to include troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment. Perform minor electrical work such as running conduit and pulling wire. Follow lockout-tag out procedures and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required. Complete pass down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of the facilities.Document all work order activities including labor, parts and inventory used and closing of work orders to provide documented records of the maintenance performed.Troubleshoot and repair controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies and all other field devices associated with the conveyor system.Use system software to troubleshoot, trend and monitor conveyor equipment.Plan maintenance work orders and enter data in the computerized maintenance management system.
