**SUMMARY**
The Maintenance Technician II performs highly skilled maintenance work that requires in-depth knowledge of various trades, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics. The Technician is expected to troubleshoot, repair, install, adjust, and maintain machinery, devices, moving parts, and equipment.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
+ Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain complex precision machine tools and equipment, including CNC and manual mills/turns, lathes, mills, and welders.
+ Fix machine problems and issues that arise while it's in use. Temporarily or permanently, make necessary repairs and adjustments to keep the machine running.
+ Repair and replace parts of machines and their attachments, which sometimes requires taking them apart, checking them carefully, using machines to shape new parts, and buying new pieces to replace the old ones.
+ Complete installation and setup of CNC or manual machinery.
+ Work closely with machine operators to ensure equipment is operating as designed.
+ Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Perform repairs, arrange the necessary parts, and create minor parts using tools such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
+ Perform basic welding by using established techniques and practices.
+ Fabricate, weld, or machine parts as needed for repairs.
+ Perform machinist work related to installing new machine tools or relocating existing machines, including erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations.
+ Maintain and help support the development of Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans.
+ Support general facilities duties and perform maintenance-related activities on building infrastructure as required.
+ Complywith all safety and work rules and regulations.
+ Use appropriate PPE during maintenance tasks.
+ Maintain departmental housekeeping standards and clean/restock area at end of shift.
+ Engage in continuous improvement projects and 5S-related performance teams.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**
+ A high school diploma or equivalent, e.g., vocational training, is required.
+ Associate degree in industrial maintenance preferred.
+ 3+ years as a CNC Maintenance Technician I or 8 years in machine maintenance with machine repair, pneumatics, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems required.
+ Experience with CNC controls, PLCs, and servo drives is preferred.
+ Understanding and experience in a Lean manufacturing environment are preferred.
**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
+ Certified Electrician preferred.
**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ Conversational in any other language preferred.
**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**
+ Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
+ Basic algebra: The ability to manipulate symbols and equations to find unknown values, express relationships, and model situations.
+ Basic Geometry: The ability to understand and work with shapes, angles, lines, and planes.
**JOB SKILLS**
+ Intermediate in MS Office Suite and SharePoint.
+ Knowledge of electrical infrastructure
+ Utilizes strong mechanical and electrical skills to complete assignments.
+ Must have a broad understanding of mechanics, machine design, machining practices, and techniques.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
+ Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills.
+ Ability to be flexible and function comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment while maintaining a positive team environment.
+ Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and special projects to meet customer demands.
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
The physical requirements outlined below indicate those necessary to fulfill this position's core responsibilities. While performing job duties, the employee will regularly engage in activities such as using hands to finger, handle, or feel and communicating verbally. Additionally, the employee will frequently need to reach with hands and arms while standing and walking as part of the role. Occasional lifting and movement of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds may be required. This position also demands specific vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. **PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS**
+ ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
+ Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
+ Hearing protection in specific locations.
+ Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
