Maintenance Technician II

The Maintenance Technician II should demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to recognize, diagnose, and perform general repairs on various material handling and power industrial equipment in the facility. The technician will be working closely with higher-level technicians and will be expected to learn on the job. Additionally, the technician may be responsible for building/facilities maintenance as needed, including lighting, plumbing, and general carpentry maintenance.

ResponsibilitiesRecognize, diagnose, and perform general repairs on material handling and power industrial equipment.Collaborate closely with higher-level technicians to learn and enhance skills.Perform building and facilities maintenance tasks including lighting, plumbing, and general carpentry.Conduct preventive maintenance on conveyors, sorters, and other automated equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, VFDs, photo eyes, sensors, and other mechanical components.Essential Skills1-2 years of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting experience in a heavy commercial/industrial facility (manufacturing or distribution).1+ years of experience with basic hand/power tools.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications1+ years of general building/facilities maintenance (preferred).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Large, climate-controlled facility with mainly conveyors (both rollers and belts), sorters, and a cardboard baler. Most of the equipment is automated. The graveyard shift follows a 4/10 schedule, running Monday through Thursday from 9 PM to 7:30 AM. Occasionally, start times may flex depending on need, but this is uncommon. Overtime is offered as needed but is not regular.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $58240.00

Grainger will put 3% a month into your 401k regardless if you contribute or not.

On top of the 3% at the end of every year Grainger evaluates the company’s financial standing and does a PST drop into the 401k. It is a Profit Sharing Program.

This is average of 5-12% of your entire years pay that is then dropped into your 401k

In other words you have the potential of getting 8%-15% a year into you 401k with out you having to contribute at all.

PTO-
First 5 years you get 12hrs of PTO a month. That means 18 days off or 2.5 weeks of vacation a year. This starts DAY one as well.

You can take up to 40 hours negative as well.
