Maintenance Technician II - B2

Shift: Thursday-Saturday 5 pm-5am, and every Wednesdays 5pm-11pm

Primary Function:
The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance and repair of
distribution equipment as well as general maintenance of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maintenance of mechanical assets throughout the facility as set forth by the facility
maintenance manager.
• Perform all responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician I as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material/product handling equipment
components.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines as directed.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
• Ensures equipment, tools, and spare parts are accounted for and secured when not in use.
• Perform preventative / predictive and emergency maintenance of equipment using appropriate job plans,
procedures and manuals within safe, legal and contractually permissible limits.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays and proximity sensors.
• Basic facility maintenance including but not limited to light electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry.
• Assist in mentoring junior technicians by providing guidance and directions to help them develop.
• Assist with basic electronics / Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) troubleshooting.
• Responsible for maintaining spirit of teamwork and productivity among fellow maintenance personnel.
• Responsible for maintaining qualifications to perform tasks through ongoing training programs of new and
existing equipment.
• Follows all established plant maintenance procedures.
• Perform all functions necessary to ensure the efficient and reliable maintenance of the plant for optimized
production levels.
• Follow tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.

Education/Background Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related work experience required.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• PC knowledge, Microsoft Office OS.
• Experience with predictive / preventative maintenance tools and procedures.
• Repair of material handling equipment.
• Electrical & Electronic knowledge.
• Requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of plant maintenance, and a good working knowledge
of carpentry, and plumbing.

Working Conditions:
• Combination of office and refrigerated warehouse environment.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
