Maintenance Technician II - Night Shift

Job Description

The position is a Night shift position. Hours are 6 pm to 6 am (12-hour shifts). Training will take place on the first shift for the first few weeks. 

Complete and lead complicated repairs with minimal supervision.  Provide next-level support to Maintenance Technician 1 personnel when they cannot successfully repair or troubleshoot a problem.  Fill in for Maintenance Technician 1 duties as needed.  

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on machines, equipment, and vehicles. Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and vehicles. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic devices. Troubleshoot and repair various pumps. Respond to trouble calls while the production line is running. Complete minor repairs and projects with minimal supervision. Assist senior maintenance personnel with complex and large projects. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experience:

5 years as a Maintenance Mechanic or Electrician in an industrial environment. Knowledge of lock-out tag-out procedures and potential energy isolation process. Familiarity with single-phase and three-phase electrical system. Ability to use a cutting torch and perform light welding. Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. 

Minimum Required Education / Skills:

Strong mechanical background. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. Ability to precisely follow instructions. Must be able to perform detailed inspections. Must be able to complete complex projects without detailed instructions and minimal supervision.

Desired Skills: Electrical background and knowledge of AC/DC circuitry.  Ability to read electrical schematics.  Ability to read hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.

Additional Information

The pay range for this position is $28-36/an hour - DOE.
