About the Role As a Maintenance Technician III you will be the primary technician responsible for performing all maintenance & repair tasks to support the operational efficiency of a grocery distribution warehouse. The Maintenance Technician III will utilize electrical and mechanical knowledge to complete troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems. The technician will also support the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of the base building systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures · Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Operations facility · Ability to maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and understands wiring methods and materials. · Inspects building systems including fire systems, HVAC, generators, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client. · Ability to inspect, maintain and repair air handling units, exhaust fans, fan coil units, reheat coils, and other associated air handling equipment. · Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, breakroom equipment, roofs, drains, windows, doors, gates, bollards and fencing. · May be required to move furniture, paint, hang pictures or items, or complete other small projects around the site. · Must understand how to safely use power/shop tools and test equipment not limited to multimeter, megger, drills, saws, impact drives, etc. · Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order/ticket completion. Review assigned tickets and work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Works with planner to order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. · Responsible for oversight, follow-through, and coordination when necessary of external vendors. · Repairs to be performed in conformance with established standards. Assist in formulating standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery. · Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job. · Strong time management skills and communications skills required. · Must maintain positive customer and employee relations, and have attendance within acceptable guideline. Basic Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent · Experience and proficiency in the following areas: · HVAC and Refrigeration · Plumbing Systems · Fire Alarms and Sprinkler Systems Roof Systems · Electrical Systems · Blueprint and electrical schematic reading · Industrial Tools · Proper use of hand/power tools and electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic equipment, shop math, fasteners, measurements, and parts nomenclature. · 3+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics · 3+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance · 3 + years of experience reading blueprints and schematics · 3+ years of work order management Preferred Qualifications · Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field · 5+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field · Universal CFC certification preferred. Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems. · Previous leadership experience · Previous vendor management experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. · Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment · Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required PPE, which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes. · Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment · Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day · Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures · Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
