**Join our team! Laredo Medical Center’s Plant Operations is now hiring a FT Maintenance Technician III to become part of this hospital-wide dynamic service department. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Read a full position description below.**
Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for advance installation, inspection, operation and repairs to building systems and plant equipment. Utilizes Technical Materials to maintain equipment to high standards. Documents all PM and Repairs accurately. Uses and maintains hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Performs advanced specialties in Plant, Electrical, Mechanical and / or Building Crafts. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor; however, he/she may receive work direction from the Director of Facilities.
Applicants Job Requirements Include:
**_Education:_**
+ **Required:** High School diploma or equivalent.
+ **Required:** Must read, write and speak English proficiently; Ability to type and perform computer data entry.
+ **Preferred:** Vocational training as an electrician, plumber, HVAC technician or Plant Operator.
+ **Preferred:** Bilingual in English and Spanish.
**_Experience:_**
+ **Required:** Three (3) to five (5) years experience in comparable work on Building and Equipment is minimum to perform this job.
**_Licenses/Certificates:_**
+ **Required:** Valid Driver License.
