The daily work each day will require thorough inspections to ensure the equipment is operational in addition to performing preventive maintenance according to an established schedule. The Engineer-Kitchen must carry all relevant certifications and have the skills to make repairs, as well as assessing future capital needs. This individual must work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure a positive customer experience for resort guests. Qualifications What You'll Bring: High School diploma; college and/or Building & Mechanical certifications are preferred At least 5 years of experience in full-service hotel or resort. Read, write, speak and understand English fluently. Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc. Familiar with chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatments, pneumatics, control systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, etc. Universal CFC certification preferred. Additional certification in one or more of the following: Certified Pool Operator, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, Process Controls, Mechanical Power Transmissions. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and Engineering related software programs. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $21.00/Hr. - $27.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
