Location: University Park, IL Department: Maintenance Tech II Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Your Role: This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting, analyzing, and repair of the company’s rolling stock machinery (lift trucks, pallet wrappers, and other miscellaneous electrical or mechanical equipment).
Routine installations, construction, or replacement of equipment. Use diagnostic techniques to make repairs, adjustments, installation to all material handling and building equipment. Install and repair rack that does not require welding. General repairs requiring electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or carpentry skills. Maintain and communicate inventory and inventory usage from spare parts. Perform repairs to building structures and floors. Plan and execute projects assigned. Participate in periodic asset audits and company required safety/housekeeping audits. Occasional travel for outside training or meetings. Battery changing, watering & maintenance. Snow removal (varies by location). Participate in emergency response hazmat teams.Role Specifics:
Schedule: Full Time Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm or Sun-Wed 6:30am-5:00pm Temperature extremes from -10 degrees in the freezer to 100+ outside in the heat. Working at heights. Works in situations where human error could result in serious financial loss or personal injury. Extensive standing/walking on concrete floors. Subject to mandatory overtime and being on call.Safety Responsibility:

We Need You To Have:
High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license. Good physical condition and agility to access facility areas for installation and repair of equipment. Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literate. Good mechanical aptitude. General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC required. Experience with 120V/277V single and three phase preferred. Two years maintenance trades experience. Must have own tools (requirements vary by location). Ability to perform duties in a safe manner required. Safety training and/or certification preferredWhat Can Dot Offer You?
