Maintenance Technician (Luxury Condominiums)

Do you have a knack for fixing things and ensuring residents' needs are met promptly? If so, Related Companies is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual like you to join our team as a Maintenance Technician! This vacancy is located at our luxury residential building in Hudson Yards. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Tasks: Diagnose and repair problems in such areas as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features (pools, spas, etc.), fitness equipment, and waste management systems. Teamwork: Collaborate with property management and fellow maintenance team members to coordinate repairs, maintenance schedules and unit turns. Safety: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential safety hazards and promptly address them. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and report any concerns to Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their maintenance needs with a friendly and approachable attitude. Be a responsive and reliable point of contact for all maintenance inquiries. Trash Removal: Maintain community by promptly removing trash, debris, and recycling materials from designated areas. Ensure all waste is properly disposed of in accordance with recycling and environmental guidelines. Problem Solving: Address maintenance requests from residents promptly and efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and appliances, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment. Collaborative Leadership: Assist in the preparation of staff work and preventive maintenance schedules, daily rounds, as well as maintaining an inventory of supplies and tools sufficient for providing the appropriate level of service. Compensation: $31.55/hour Benefits: Local 32BJ Union Benefits Schedule: Thursday-Monday: 1pm-9:30pm (Off Tuesday and Wednesday) #LUXNYFL #RMC Qualifications 2+ years of Maintenance Technician/Handyman experience Luxury condominium experience preferred Certifications required: S12 & S13 OR S14, S95, P98 (willing to obtain within 6 months of employment) HVAC : repairs, cleans, replaces, etc. Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installation Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc. Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches, etc. Must able to lift 50LBS and stand for 8 hours Overview Related Management Company (RMC) is the leading innovator in managing real estate as an owner/operator.
