Our client, commercial real estate industry, is seeking a maintenance technician to join their team. **Job Title:** Maintenance Technician **Location:** Wilson, NC, 1900-A Stantonsburg Rd. (In-Person) **Hours:** Monday to Friday, 7 AM–4 PM (with rotational On-call Overtime) **Duration:** 3-Month Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion) **Pay Rate:** $25 per hour (Based on Experience) **About the Role:** We are seeking a reliable and proactive **maintenance technician** to assist in daily building operations, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in light electrical, plumbing, and general handyman work, with strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform preventive maintenance and daily rounds of the facility. + Complete assigned repair work orders and emergency maintenance tasks. + Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including plumbing, lighting, and HVAC. + Conduct general handyman work such as carpentry, furniture assembly, and painting. + Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. + Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs. + Engage with clients and resolve issues promptly. + Provide vendor escorts as needed. **Requirements:** + **Experience:** 2-3 years in maintenance or related field. + **Education:** high school diploma or GED. + **Skills:** + Light electrical and plumbing knowledge. + Strong customer service and verbal communication skills. + Basic Microsoft Office skills. + **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs/ladders, stoop, and stand for extended periods. **Preferred Skills:** + Knowledge of CMMS tools. + Experience with HVAC systems. + Variety of trade skillsets (carpentry, painting, locksmith tasks). + Eagerness to learn and grow within the role. **Interview Process:** One virtual interview with a panel.
